Dr. Bove came and talked with us...
He used words like
"excellent, pleased, couldn't look better, and thrilled"!!!!!
Awww - my mama heart took a deep breath of relief :)
PRAISE GOD FROM WHO ALL BLESSING FLOW!
Darren did come off the heart/lung bypass machine very well - with no bleeding issues
He did say the next 24-48 hours are critical
They left Darren's chest open with just a patch over it
He did say that with such a MAJOR heart surgery it is "statistically likely that complications or issues will arise"
The biggest problems typically are bleeding and heart rhythm issues

Darren is at one of the BEST hospitals in the country...they have experience with this operation AND the potential complications.....AND God LOVES Darren even more then his mama - I will continue to LEAN ON Him :)

We bumped into Dr. Bove's fellow in the cafeteria...she had a huge smile and said "this is the way these surgeries should go!"
